Students started the month of January by having an electronic party. They worked realy hard to earn one. We finished our unit on motion and moved on to snow! This month has been full of snow activities! We learned all about where snowflakes come from by reading a few books, watching a few movie clips and creating the snowflake life cycle on paper! We made paper snowflakes and real crystal snowflakes. The little owls were very excited to mix their own water and food coloring. They came back from the weekend to a fully grown snowflake! For the past two weeks, we have also worked really hard on comparing numbers. Students had a fun time using Alex the Alligator who chomps up the GREATER number! Our goal was to use the words greater than and less then to compare our numbers. Enjoy our learning pictures below!
